TRAVERSE is designed around our central gaming ideal that combat action is about the reaction of troops and units, not casualties or hit rolls. You will command a platoon or company-level force of 15mm scale or 20 mm tanks, vehicles, and infantry in a narrative-driven scenario inspired by events in France, 1940.
Action in TRAVERSE is built around a stepped action sequence, with both sides holding ten action tokens. These are randomly drawn alternately by the players and the result indicates which type of Unit can move that step – faster vehicles have more tokens, so get more actions while the poor bloody infantry (PBI) slog along behind!
